The 2015 – 16 school year is officially over, let me thank you for the support you've shown the faculty and staff at UPES this year. We've had a wonderful year of learning and I hope you'll find many opportunities over the summer months to enjoy your children as much as we have enjoyed them over the last nine months.
UPES is proud to announce that our students were the grand prize winners of The Plastic Bottle Competition and earned $2,000.00 from the city of Huntsville for working to collect 3 million plastic caps. Special thanks to parents, families and friends who helped us earn this money that will be used as we continue to develop programs for our students throughout the upcoming school year.
School will be closed from June 9 - July 11. Once the school opens in July, we'll be focused on preparing the hallways and classrooms of our new school Sonnie Hereford Elementary located at 2755 Wilson St.
****Next school year, we'll celebrate the theme: Every Day, A New Beginning as we welcome your children back to school in August! Have a great summer!
Summer Reading Challenge can be found on HCS website.
